A strand on its own wears thin. Woven in with others, it holds. That's the whole idea behind Threestrand. Not a stronger lock. More people in it with you.
When you want in to something you blocked, you ask someone you chose. They say yes, or not this time. That small moment of asking is what changes things.
Put phones away with whoever you're with, for as long as you all said. A dinner, a study night, a living room, a table.
Android or iPhone, old or new. Built for the $60 phone as much as the $1,000 one. No new phone needed.
That's what Threestrand is for.
Threestrand has a physical side: a small tag, on the back of a phone or on a table. Hold your phone to it and you're in. A partner's tag says yes to a request on the spot. A table's tag puts phones away with whoever's there.

A limit you can lift by yourself isn't much of a limit. Threestrand puts people you chose between you and the apps that waste your time.
Send a link to someone you trust. One tap and you're paired. A spouse, a roommate, a friend, or a few of them.
The apps that take your time without giving much back. They stay blocked everywhere on the phone, not just on the home screen.
Open something blocked and send a quick request. They say yes, or not this time, and it opens for as long as they said.
What your people see: that your blocking is on, and the requests you send. Not which apps you use, not for how long, not what you browse. And deleting Threestrand always works. It stays an emergency exit, and your people are simply told.

Phones are useful. The map, the bank, the camera, the calls. The time worth protecting is the time that serves the phone instead of you.
We don't think an algorithm can hold you to a promise. People can. So Threestrand is small on purpose: no ads, no streaks, no scores, nothing that shames you for a bad day. The people you choose are on your side of the table, not across it. It works on whatever phone you already have.
The best thing it can do is get out of your way. We measure success by how little you need us.
It takes a few minutes to set up, and it stays out of your way after that.
